Leadership - Non-Clinical Finance/Accounting CEJKA EXECUTIVE December 31,2017 Cejka Executive Search has been exclusively retained by University of Chicago to assist in the recruitment of an accomplished finance executive to serve as the Executive Director and Revenue Officer for University of Chicago Physicians Groups (UCPG). 

The Executive Director and Revenue Officer will serve as a key leader for all University of Chicago Medicine faculty and non-faculty providers, including the faculty practice plan as well as the Clinically Integrated Network, ensuring all operations of UCPG align with the University of Chicago goals and initiatives with emphasis on operational performance, revenue enhancement, customer service and employee work culture. Responsible for collaboratively developing and implementing the financial strategy of the Practice Plan, the Executive Director and Revenue Officer will assist the Clinical Departments in achieving financial performance and strategic growth plans. The Executive Director will drive strategic and tactical initiatives related to the UCPG’s revenue cycle operations and platform. A key revenue cycle function will be to successfully optimize workflow and system configuration after the recent Epic Resolute implementation. Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Physician and Dean of Clinical Affairs, the Executive Director and Revenue Officer will support the development of an infrastructure to formalize the practice plan, support strategic plans, and oversee the financial functions related to UCPG. Additionally, the Executive Director and Revenue Officer will work closely with the leadership of the Clinically Integrated Network to ensure its expansion is coordinated and successfully planned and implemented as well as provide oversight for management services of the University of Chicago Health Plan. 

The University of Chicago Practice Plan is composed of more than 900 clinically active faculty members and is supported by a central management organization, University of Chicago Physicians Group, which is located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. UCPG provides billing, analytic and other services for medical services provided by the University physicians as well as managing the accounts receivable and reporting processes for the Biologic Sciences Division departments, the UCM care network and other employed physicians and providers. The Executive Director and Revenue Officer will act as a point of accountability for UCPG’s revenue cycle performance improvement opportunities and will serve as UCPG’s representative to a variety of critical enterprise-wide projects.

The ideal candidate will be accomplished healthcare executive with depth of leadership in overseeing physician revenue cycle activities, preferably within an academic setting, with strong operational and strategic leadership for advancing the financial performance of a large ambulatory organization.
